They’re Indestructible! Nokia Phone Lost Underwater For 3 Months Somehow Magically Still Works

Swedish man found a Nokia smartphone that was submerged under a lake for over three months and was shocked to discover that after disassembling and reassembling the device, it still worked just fine.
According to the Times of India, Sweden’s Roger Nilsson recently came upon a Lumia 800 he lost three and a half months ago wedged between two rocks in a lake. The device, which is just as vulnerable to water as any other non-water-resistant smartphone, was covered with muck, shells and several other pieces of garbage.
Nilsson cleaned off the phone, disassembled it and then kept it on a radiator to dry.
When Nilsson put the phone back together, not only did it turn on, but it also appeared to work as if it had never been lost underwater at all.
He found that all of the phone’s functions, including the camera, work just as well as if it had just been taken out of the package. The battery even lasts over two days without being charged, as it is supposed to.
The elated Swede posted his incredible discovery to Nokia Sweden’s Facebook page.
Most water-resistant smartphones can survive underwater for up to 30 minutes. The Lumia 800, however, is not rated for this feature and is expected to completely shut down should it be submerged for more than a minute or two.
