These Drones Work Together To Create Webs Like Spiders (Video)

What happens when you combine two things that people are terrified of? You get drones that weave rope like a spider webs, of course.
Researchers at ETH Zurich taught the web-builidng drones to spin ropes and weave them around poles.
The drones are able to complete patterns, weaving the “webs” equidistantly, which could be used to help create structures on building sites and in other situations.
Additionally, the drones are able to work together, interweaving patterns and completing tasks twice as quickly.
As drones become more and more integrated in everyday life, is there a point at which society should decide we’re too reliant on technology, or should we create all the help we need?
