McDonald’s Is Exploring The Idea Of 3D-Printed Happy Meal Toys So Kids Will Never Get The Wrong Toy

Parents everywhere can exhale and finally relax, as the anxiety of going to McDonald’s and not being able to get the right Happy Meal toy can be assuaged. The fast food giant is looking to technological advances in order to make sure every kid leaves McDonald’s with a smile.
McDonald’s is looking into 3D printing technology to give all kids what they want, as children would be able to pick any Happy Meal toy and then print it right on the spot.
McDonald’s IT director in the UK, Mark Fabes, said the potential of 3D-printed Happy Meal toys is intriguing, and that the company is looking at potential applications of the technology.
Parents who have taken their children to McDonald’s can express how frustrating it can be to deal with a child who doesn’t get the right Happy Meal toy, as the effects can be devastating. Now, this technology can prevent that specific breakdown from ever happening again.
Don’t get too excited, though, as no plans are moving forward just yet.
“It’s just a thought,” Fabes said to El Reg.
Is this technology a good idea to implement, or should children learn the lesson that they can’t always get what they want?
